The Sur Ron Battery Long range, 67v Marathon v2 achieves this by utilizing the extra tolerance in your stock controller.
Some people are saying this is not possible without altering the controller. We agree that we do not alter the controller. But what you give the controller (power wise) can alter the output it gives out over standard through the reconfiguration of the cell series. More volts, more RPM, more watts! There is no trickery here, just the obvious that others fail to see, and get annoyed that we’re making it difficult to be copied. We wont tell you how we do it, but the facts are real and genuine and really it’s all quite obvious once you know how. We have tested these batteries on several bikes for thousands of miles.
Designed to run on the standard Sur Ron bike as a direct swap in battery but increases top speed by 10 mph (fully charged), increasing the range over 250%
We have sacrificed higher power output to make suitable for long range and higher speeds than our normal 60V. Top secret internal design now means the standard controller supplies 12.5% more power, or 625 watts!!!
We are now offering an ASI BAC4000 set to 10,000W, so when more money is available, a quick controller upgrade and more speed and acceleration is available with HUGE range.
Use your standard controller with a 12.5% power increase and have a safe and genuine fast bike that will give heaps of range and fun. The battery is very similar in design to its 65Ah brother but about 15mm taller and totally re-worked internals. We have given this battery a huge range. Perfect for trail riding or long distance commuting.
This battery is not to be used with a third party controller set higher than 160A DC or 10Kw Phase 420A.
This will work perfectly with the original X Controller and give a power output of approximately 5.5KW (about 650Watts more than standard).
High Power Sur Ron Battery 4060Wh Samsung 21700 cell, with ANT Bluetooth BMS (works on IOS and Android) designed to fit inside the Sur Ron battery compartment utilizing the existing battery tray. The cells are genuine branded cells specifically designed for large capacity storage and reliability. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 208 cells that retail in the UK for around £6 each! not including: BMS, fabrication, shipping and taxes.
The whole battery is fitted in a hand made stainless steel case designed to handle those inevitable and hopefully not painful “Offs” with hard off road rides and giving masses more protection. The casing is powder coated inside and out.
The battery does not have an integrated voltmeter. If you are using this with a standard controller, a handlebar voltmeter is supplied and can be simply plugged into the charge port of the battery to show voltage (empty at 48V). For aftermarket controllers, that show battery voltage (like ASI), the voltmeter is not required.
Some versions of the Sur Ron controllers may go into limp mode if using this battery with no communication port (not using an aftermarket controller). This will need a very simple modification to the plug that normally connects to the battery. Please see the photo of the battery communication connector and the two pins that are crossed with a simple piece of: wire, spade connector or similar piece of conductive metal. Note the area circled in red.
For bikes that do not have a display to show voltage, we include a handlebar mounted display to be located on the throttle side. Simply plug into the charge port of the battery when riding.
Please note this is a long range battery primarily designed to power the OEM Sur Ron Controller and NOT high power aftermarket controllers (we do offer an ASI BAC4000 set up for this battery at 10kW). If set for aftermarket controllers, please observe the specifications. Going over the recommendations could invalidate your warranty.
Sur Ron in their wisdom have changed the battery conector for the 2024 model. It doesent take as much power and very difficult to obtain. These connectors are not compatable with our batteries (or anyone elses). The simple work around is install a pre 2024 loom. Takes about 30 mniniutes. If you then want to run your OEM 2024 battery, you will need to purchase an adapater. Most people sell their OEM battry to offset the cost of this much longer range and more powerful battery upgrade. When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off.
Charging: First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up from the mains. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time.

* Warranty, due to the nature of use of these devices (off road) manufacturer warranty is limited to 12 months from date of purchase of the battery. Any damage the result of water ingress, alteration, may void warranty. Failure to comply with the correct connection procedure, may lead to damaged to the BMS and connection plugs and will not be covered by warranty. This includes shortening of cables and changing connectors. It is the owners responsibility to proof against water ingress and not use in unacceptable very wet conditions, or use direct water from hose/washers. Warranties are not transferable. We do not warranty second hand goods. We reserve the right to slightly modify or change this product without notice.
Please note, Lithium batteries are considered hazardous and due care and attention should be taken. Although these cells are in wide use, and professionally manufactured in a purpose built factory; because of the power of the battery, we strongly recommend that precautions are taken. We do not recommend charging inside the family home and charging should be supervised. We take no responsibility for misuse. These batteries are thoroughly tested (full discharge and charge cycles at the manufacturing stage and also pre-delivery). These are not DIY or amateur built devices.
