We call this the “RaceV3” as its light and powerful and now with even more upgrades: Upgraded Internal Configuration, Upgrade High Power BMS, New Handle and New Graphics and full Stainless Steel 316 casing.
This is a Sur Ron Battery 72v 42Ah Electron Cycles Race V3 25Kw capable of peak 25kW power (360a peak discharge for 51 seconds until cut off on mosfet temp protection)
15kW continuous at 200A discharge run for 4 minutes and 16 second continuous load until cut off on mosfet temp protection.
However, going up and down the throttle (off road riding) will allow bursts of up to 25Kw (400A) although 21Kw is max recommended

Please make sure your controller is set to a power rating that will not damage your motor. The battery is the “fuel tank” and it is the controller that controls how much “fuel” (Power) it takes and gives to the motor.
This Sur Ron Battery 72v 42Ah Electron Cycles “Race V3” 25Kw will not work with the original X Controller.
These power packs are designed for ultimate power supply and are 57.5% bigger watts hours (3024Kwh) compared to the standard battery (1920Kwh) and able to give out 3 times the power (discharge -amps).
Sur Ron Battery 72v 42Ah Electron Cycles Race V3 25Kw 20S10P 72v 3024Wh 42Ah Molicel p42A 21700 cell (high power 4200 mAh per cell), with ANT Hybrid Bluetooth BMS (works on IOS and Android) designed to fit inside the Sur Ron battery compartment utilizing the existing battery tray. The cells are genuine branded 21700 cylindrical cells (not cheaper pouch) specifically designed for high output discharge and sustained high drain. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 200 cells that retail in the UK for around £8 each! not including: BMS, fabrication and shipping and taxes. Now with marine grade 316 stainless steel powder coated cases. The whole battery is fitted in hand made stainless steel case designed to handle those inevitable and hopefully not painful “Offs” with hard off road rides and giving masses more protection. The casing is powder coated inside and out.
Torp do not like direct power to the controller (our second cable), so please just do not use the additional power cable supplied. We do not like to remove these as often buyers transfer batteries to another bike.

Please ALSO note, these are genuine new cells and made up into complete battery specially designed by us, built at our oversees factory or here in the UK by our dedicated battery builders. We simply can’t buy a single battery. Thanks to PayPal fees, shipping and taxes the mark-up is minimal!
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark. Turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing battery has no special order.
Charging: First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up from the mains. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time.

* 12 Month Warranty is for manufacturing defects and does not cover miss use or accidental damage. These units are extremely strong and robust and will not let you down unless abused. The battery is waterproof but will not take direct water flow to the discharge cables from a jet wash or hose pipe – this is not covered. We undertake warranties here in the UK. We take the pain!
Please note, Lithium batteries are considered hazardous and due care and attention should be taken. Although these cells are in wide use, and professionally manufactured in a purpose built factory; because of the power of the battery, we strongly recommend that precautions are taken. We do not recommend charging inside the family home and charging should be supervised. We take no responsibility for misuse. These batteries are thoroughly tested (full discharge and charge cycles at the manufacturing stage and also pre-delivery). These are not DIY or amateur built devices.
* Warranty, due to the nature of use of these devices (off road) manufacturer warranty is limited to 12 months from date of purchase of the battery. Any damage the result of water ingress, alteration, may void warranty. Failure to comply with the correct connection procedure, may lead to damaged to the BMS and connection plugs and will not be covered by warranty. This includes shortening of cables and changing connectors. It is the owners responsibility to proof against water ingress and not use in unacceptable very wet conditions, or use direct water from hose/washers. Warranties are not transferable. We do not warranty second hand goods. We reserve the right to slightly modify or change this product without notice.
